Hanford Prep - Testimonial Character & Kindness

A Unique Blend of Character & Kindness

At Hanford, girls grow in confidence through performance, teamwork and quiet self- belief.

They learn to express themselves, to reflect, and to find their voice—on stage and beyond. And just as importantly, they learn to be kind: to look after one another, offer support, and take joy in small acts of care.

Character and kindness go hand in hand here, shaping girls who are grounded, thoughtful and ready for whatever comes next.

Character

At Hanford, Character is built both on stage and in life.

Every girl has the chance to take part—from form plays and whole-year productions to our much-loved summer play on Parents’ Day. Older girls also perform in the Nativity, a treasured tradition in the school calendar. These opportunities help girls grow in confidence, develop their voice, and discover different sides of themselves through performance and teamwork.

Our Character Curriculum also encourages traits such as independence, resilience and self-awareness—nurtured both in and out of the classroom.

Kindness

But Kindness is the golden thread that ties everything at Hanford together.

In our small, family-like community, girls learn to know themselves and others through genuine kindness and care. They step up as big sisters to younger pupils, look after animals, share advice and quietly look out for one another.

With just one school rule—Be Kind—compassion becomes second nature, and every act of friendship or empathy helps shape the character of each girl as she grows.
