Rosie’s year at Sherborne Girls has been defined by courage, determination and breaking new ground. As the only girl in a team of eight, she made history as the first female ever to be part of a winning team in the Sir Steuart Pringle Trophy, one of the most demanding and prestigious military- style competitions in the school calendar. The team’s victory was the first for Sherborne in 20 years, and Rosie’s role in that success is a testament to her grit, leadership and resilience. |
From the very first selection stage, trudging through sodden fields in freezing rain, Rosie knew she was in for a challenge. Making the final team meant proving her physical and mental strength again and again. Long evenings of marching drills, log runs, and pitch-black hill sprints forged not only her endurance but a deep sense of camaraderie. Rosie credits the experience with teaching her the true value of teamwork - how mutual trust, shared purpose and plenty of laughter can drive a group to do something extraordinary. |
